Ceri studied painting at City & Guilds School of Art, London and has exhibited widely in the UK and USA.
Her work is included in public and private collections including St Mary's Hospital Paddington, Corpus Christi College, Oxford and Tullie House Museum Carlisle
She has taken up numerous artists residencies, which include Corpus Christi College, Oxford, The NCCA, St Petersburg , Cumbria Institute for the Arts and Lancaster Castle with Demi-Paradise-Productions. In 2017 she was commissioned to produce the title painting for the Oxford Almanack . She is currently represented by The Castlegate House Gallery in Cumbria.
Artist’s Statement
‘My work is representational, with a particular focus on portraying the human figure in an urban environment . I use composition to suggest the space and tension between people or objects – physical and mental space . My paintings are worked from material collected in the form of photographs or sketches and transformed in the process’.
